The Left has long argued that Corporations should not have a say in politics.  Is it any wonder why they focus on the likes of Koch Industries, Exxon and the like?  It turns out there is good reason for it.  If the left were to successfully undermine such companies and their involvement in politics, right or wrong, it would become nearly a free ride for them.  Taking it further, one must question the legality of some of the donations that make their way to Democrat candidates.

Many of us do not like the big money involved in politics, and there is good reason; it distorts the political process by which we elect our representation.  The average citizen can only give a small amount relative to large corporations and ESPECIALLY unions.  The large cash donations drown out the small, individual donations to our candidates.  And, the numbers are staggering when it comes down to it.

Democrats have much to lose since the largest contributors are weighted heavily towards their cause.  The top 10 influential contributors are as follows, according to Opensecrets.org:

Top Contributors, 2013 - 2014

1National Education Assn$12,802,615
2ActBlue$11,946,570

5American Fedn of St/Cnty/Munic Employees$6,038,926
6City of New York, NY$5,960,889
8AFL-CIO$4,696,858
9Perry Homes$4,137,200
10Carpenters & Joiners Union$2,855,292
11Koch Industries$2,612,355
But wait, I thought the evil Koch Brothers controlled the world?!  Oh, and I had said 10, but certainly could not leave Kock Industries off the list.... Koch Industries is small potatoes compared to the massive flows going to Democrat candidates and the occassional RINO.  Is there any doubt where the NEA, ActBlue, Democratic Governors Association, AFSCME, City of New York, AFL-CIO, or Carpenters & Joiners Union gives the overwhelming majority of their money?

What about AFSCME, NEA and others have some concerned?  These organizations force people to be members while collecting taxpayer money for funding.

How does this happen?  The taxpayers pay for teacher salaries and government employee wages through taxes.  These funds, in turn, are forced out of employee hands and back to the union through dues.  In turn, those dues are funneled right back to those who keep them employed en masse; Democrats.  Democrats have never made an attempt at trimming government, and the numbers show exactly why this occurs.  Do not bite the hand that feeds you!
