Obamacare enslaves Americans on their health care choices and decisions, as well as the cost. First, Obamacare forces Americans to choose from a limited number of plans which are "approved" under the new law. This means, as we have seen, cancellations en masse. Cancellations have far exceeded enrollments, at last count, now topping 5,000,000 cancellations. Enrollments, which real numbers are hard to come by, are estimated at 100,000. This number is misleading because the "enrollees" have not yet paid for their plans, therefore, should they really be counted yet? People have lost their choice of plans, which undermines their freedom.
Second, health care decisions are now at the mercy of Federal law. Tea Party folk, Governor Palin, and many other Conservatives have been blasted all along regarding "death panels" as a false reality under Obamacare. Health care decisions will, under the law, fall to the Department of Human Services when in question for a final approval. Kathleen Sebelius made the infamous decision to deny a lung transplant to a 10 year old girl who was dying back in June. While this may be more visible and outlandish than other decisions that will be made under the law, it still strikes a chord with Americans. These decisions will become much more prevalent among the elderly during end of life services or for life saving procedures. Why should the government tell us when a procedure is permitted? Isn't this a decision to be made between the doctor and patient? Thus, we are now enslaved to the decisions of the DHS and the government.
President +Barack Obama famously promised that the new health care law would save the average family $2500 per year. Figuring out how much Obamacare will cost Americans is an actuarial nightmare; with over 7000 pages of rules, regulations, and taxes, it is going to be a while before we know the true cost to Americans. But, we have seen over and over, a majority of Americans are seeing increases in their premiums, let alone all the associated taxes which the consumer pays for as well. Under my own, employer sponsored, medical plan I will be paying 15.3% more this year. And, the stories are numerous of premiums doubling, tripling, or increasing large percentages. Through regulations, Liberals undermine our abilities to make our own decisions. Smokers, most notably, have been taxed out of existence because the government thinks it knows best. Correction, Liberals and RINOs think they know best for everyone. While smoking may be unhealthy, it is not illegal and people have the right to make their own decision whether or not to smoke. Legislating taxes to punish smokers is an underhanded way to control smokers.
In New York City, ultra Liberal Mayor Bloomberg, has taken the step of banning big soda drinks to "fight obesity." Great, now we have New Yorkers just buying more containers of the same drinks. It was another attempt to control and enslave people to the opinions of the Liberal elite.
As I discussed in "The Problem With Being Thin", even our children's eating habits are controlled by the government. School lunches have come under attack by the left, dictating our dietary habits without regards for individual circumstances.
Even "free press" has become distorted under this administration. Obama and his minions continually threaten anyone who does not comply with their storyline wishes.
Further enslaving Americans is the green movement. This perversion of protecting the earth has little to do with it any longer. What started out as a good movement to keep our natural resources and planet clean, has quickly turned into a large government control agency leeching off hard working Americans. The movement to remove gun owner rights also leads to enslavement to the government. People feel threatened right now. Gun ownership is skyrocketing due to the uncomfortable feeling we get when we are being encroached upon. Many non gun owning citizens do not feel protected by the government any longer. Thus, they turn to arming themselves and this is happening rapidly. By disarming the citizens, the government would no longer fear its' citizens. We could be demanded to do whatever they choose without any way to fight back. This argument is consistently hidden under the guise of keeping our children safe from mass shootings, neighborhood crime, assaults, and robberies. However, some 90% of all gun crime happens with stolen guns. It is not the legal gun owners who are committing these crimes. Removing our gun rights dis empowers the people and empowers the government further enslaving American citizens to their government.
Yes, there is much more enslavement going on. Obamacare is just the most publicized and most widely understood enslavement of Americans. Liberals continually seek to control our lives, taking away our liberties and constitutional rights through underhanded means. If you are voting for Liberals, you are voting for your own rights to be taken away and to become a slave to our government. Next time someone points out that the Conservatives are such right wing extremists, ask them what ever happened to traditional Liberalism; meaning, to liberate and free the people?

Before I get into this, realize that a taxpayer is the 47% that +Mitt Romney famously quoted during his election bid. A taxpayer is someone who actually pays taxes, rather than having no federal liability or receiving a credit. With government spending increasing to levels unlike any in our nation's history and revenues slowly growing, we now have a deficit. And, what a deficit it has become under +Barack Obama's leadership. At $17,000,000,000,000 and growing, Liberal policies continue to enslave the American taxpayer and future taxpayers at an alarming rate. In the last five years, this administration has stepped up spending to unprecedented levels. Beginning with the Stimulus and now entering Obamacare, Liberals have enacted policies that cost a lot of tax money. What has this spending done, but enslave taxpayers to a large bill? Nothing. Stimulus 1 and 2 did little to nothing to bring our economy back, and Obamacare has done nothing but make people angry. Now, we are left with a heap of debt and nearly half the country has no obligation; look for this to change due to this massive overspending binge.
